Episode 1 of D Rose The Return titled “Belief” gives you a narrated inside look at the days leading up to surgery and the process he began thereafter. After you watch a series of clips showing the point guard at the Bulls game after the injury, arriving and leaving the hospital and going through some grueling rehab sessions, the camera pans to Derrick on a rehab table and you see him speak to the camera for the first time in which he proclaims: “I want to be great”, pauses and ensures “I’m going to be great”.
