According to CSN Chicago, the Bulls will announce the signing of free agent power forward, Vladimir Radmonivic, on Thursday. David Kaplan of CSN Chicago verified the news, “I spoke to him tonight and he confirmed the deal.” Radmonivic, who averaged 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds for Atlanta last season will sign a 1-year deal – at what should be the veteran’s minimum salary. Radmonivic, 31, has 11 years experience and is a career 38% 3-point shooter. After letting go of Kyle Korver, the Bulls most certainly needed to add depth in the shooting department, and it seems they found their match. Not sure where he fits into the rotation as Jimmy Butler has certainly earned the back-up spot to Luol Deng, and Taj Gibson is a back-up who qualifies as a starter. Your call is as good as mine. But then again, if this is their “Big” offseason move, seeing how the Bulls have struck out in the SG category this free agency, I can see Butler backing up Rip, and Vlad for Deng. Sigh.
He did give our bigs hell on January 8th: (5-5 from 3)
