402 Stephen A. Smith: Its done, theyre not matching [Lins] offer

Stephen A. Smith joined ESPN this morning to discuss the Knicks situation with Jeremy Lin. Due to the new collective bargaining rule, which states it’s $1.75 for every dollar a team exceeds the luxury tax, Jeremy Lin would cost the Knicks approximately $30 million in the third year of his contract. According to Stephen A. Smith’s numerous sources, “It’s a done deal, they’re not matching this offer.” Smith believes they will let Lin go to Houston, and use Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton as their point guards this season.
