In an attempt to make the Knicks plan to land Steve Nash as difficult as possible, the Toronto Raptors gave Landry Fields an offer he couldn’t resist, eliminating him from a possible sign-and-trade with Phoenix. Now that Steve Nash has shocked the world and chosen the L.A. Lakers over his hometown Raptors, the question remains: will they keep the offer on the table or rescind it in hopes of landing more valuable free agents. Either way, the Knicks do not plan to match the offer sheet, which agreed to terms on a 3-year/$19 million contract, come July 11th.
