noahhandshead Joakim Noah Withdraws From Olympics

Weeks after telling the French media that his left ankle was nowhere near ready, Joakim Noah has officially withdrawn from Team France and the 2012 London Olympics.  Noah tells L’Equipe about his decision:

“I am absolutely not ready. Not ready to run, not ready to jump. And even less to play. I need more time and work, I’m not in the form of someone who wants to pretend to play the Olympics. And given the problems I have with my ankles, do not go to the Games seemed the most reasonable decision. ”

Joakim Noah can absolutely not risk or afford re-injury as he will be a focal point to the Bulls when the season starts without Derrick Rose.
