Yahoo! Sports reported on Sunday that the Houston Rockets, who were the first to reach out to Bulls center, Omer Asik, have reached an offer sheet agreement with the big man. The Rockets and Asik have agreed to a 3 year $25.1 million offer which will be signed on July 11th. Asik would earn $5 million in year 1, $5.225 million in year two and just under $15 million in year 3. The Bulls will then have 3 days to match that offer if they would like to keep the seven foot center – which they have previously expressed intent to do: “We see him as a key piece to our team moving forward…it is our goal that Omer Asik will be a Chicago Bull for the foreseeable future” said Gar Forman in June. Asik averaged 3 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block in 2011-2012.
