Derrick Rose To Coach Cal: Wait Until You See My Body When I Come Back
Kentucky Head Coach, John Calipari joined Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption yesterday prior to 6 of his Wildcats being drafted into the NBA – one of them, Marquis Teague, to the Chicago Bulls.  Prior to coaching at Kentucky, Calipari was at Memphis where he coached Derrick Rose.  Michael Wilbon, who reported Derrick Rose was not doing well with rehab recently, asked Coach Cal for some good news.  Calipari said he talked to his former player a few weeks ago:

“He is in the best frame of mind.  His vision is like laser on where he’s gonna go, and his comment to me was, ‘Wait until you see my body when I come back’. Understand, he’s never been injured before, and he knows it – and now he’s got this thing filtered down to ‘I am going to come back and be better than ever’. And you know what? When he gets in that frame of mind, you all should be happy in Chicago.”

Derrick Rose recently returned to Chicago after doing some rehab in Alabama and plans to head out to Santa Monica, CA in the upcoming weeks, where he owns a summer home.
