ESQ: Okay, so LeBron finally got his championship. You guys are good friends and got drafted the same year. Are you completely happy for him, or is there envy there?
CA: No, never that. I don’t live my life like that. I support him 100-percent. I’m actually happy for him — like excited for him — just because of all the things that he’s been through and things that have been said about him. For him and Miami to finally get there, this is their time right now.
ESQ: Last summer, LeBron famously worked on his post game. Is there one particular aspect of your game that you’re working on this offseason?
CA: I try to work on my whole game. I try to work on my whole game and just come back fully prepared for the season.
CA: Well, I did no carbs for two weeks. And just been working. You know, just training in the gym and on the track. Running.
ESQ: Is there an ultimate goal as far as the weight loss?
CA: I mean, I still have up until October, you know? So ain’t no telling how much more weight I could lose.
ESQ: Okay, NBA Draft. Who do you like? You got a sleeper pick?
CA: I haven’t really been paying close attention to all that stuff. I’m definitely going to watch it. We’ll see what happens. This time of year is always exciting for the NBA and for the draft picks and —
ESQ: You’re a proud Syracuse guy. Any thoughts on Dion Waiters?
CA: I love Dion. At the end of the day, I think that’s my sleeper. I wouldn’t be surprised if he slipped up into the top 10.
