According to NBA PR, Amar’e Stoudemire is being fined 50,000 for using “offensive and derogatory language in a Twitter message.” This comes days after Stoudemire sent an inappropriate direct message to a fan who encouraged him to step his game up. Although this may be pocket change to Amar’e, who will make $60,820 a quarter next season, the NBA sent their message loud and clear.
