Are you playing for the Nets or the Knicks next year?
[laughs] I don’t know, I wouldn’t mind either one. They both have great situations, so I wouldn’t rule those two out.
Is it a sorted deal where you want to play on a team that has a chance to win- because let’s be honest, both those teams probably don’t have a chance to win next season:
No, winning comes in different stages. I had the opportunity to play for the Nets and no one thought we would ever achieve what we did as a team, so you can never rule out the possibility of getting to the Finals. If I am backing up Deron, or Jeremy Lin, or Steve Nash somewhere, that fits me perfectly.
What do you think of Jeremy Lin?
I think he had a great run until he got hurt, but I think he has all of the tools to be a legitimate point guard in this league.
Well, I’m just saying [laughs], he’s not as old as me but he could start 41 games and I could start the other 41.
Does money have anything to do with it, or have you made your money and you just want to be comfortable somewhere?
I just want to help a team win, so money is very fortunate, the game has been great to me. Wherever I can help a team get to the next level, that’s what I want to do.
You know that Knick fans and Net fans are going to be drooling now, you’re teasing them:
I’m not teasing them, I’m trying to be as honest as possible. You look at the Knicks, they have a great guy young group. They have a guy over there that I played with and won a championship with, so Tyson is great, so I wouldn’t mind seeing him and helping those guys win, we’ll see what happens come July 1.
