Amid reports that Derrick Rose’s rehab is “not going well” coinciding with a trip to Alabama this week to seek consultation from renowned surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, the doctor who performed the surgery and has kept a close eye on Rose is speaking up.
Dr. Brian Cole told ESPN in a telephone interview Wednesday that despite reports, Derrick Rose is “ahead of schedule” and his trip is “not a consultation with another physician, but rather it’s working with another therapist in collaboration with the Bulls’ training staff”. Cole insists Rose is not visiting Dr. Andrews and that claims of setbacks in his rehab “couldn’t be further from the truth”.
