Salah Mejri, a 7’1 center from Tunsia, will work out for the Knicks on Monday. Mejri was originally scheduled to play with New York at the Las Vegas Summer League, but will no longer join them. If the Knicks don’t offer Mejri a deal before the start of the summer league, he will head to the Orlando Summer League with the Utah Jazz from July 9-12.
Since 2010 when he signed a 2-year contract, Salah Mejri has played with the Antwerp Diamond Giants of Belgium. A Tunisian native, Mejri is also a proud member of their national team that will compete in this year’s summer olympics. Following his possible stint in the summer league for the Jazz, Mejri will head to Spain to compete in the pre-Olympics exhibition game between Spain and Tunisia on July 13th.
