According to People.com, Amar’e Stoudemire, who is vacationing in Paris, proposed to the mother of his three children, Alexis Welch, on Saturday night.  Stat popped the question overlooking the Eiffel Tower and told People: ”I have been planning my proposal for a while and overlooking the entire Paris skyline seemed like a perfect place.  I am so happy she said ‘yes,’ and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife.”  Welch’s ring is 8.5 carats and worth more than $1 million (pocket change compared to his $18 mil/yr salary!) and the pair plan to marry sometime in 2013.  Congrats!
