U.S. Mens Basketball Final Roster To Be Selected July 7th, Who Will Grab The Last Two Spots?

An injury-prone NBA season has now affected something bigger, the Olympic Games. Just 18 healthy players remain in the U.S. pool following disheartening injuries to superstars Derrick Rose & Dwight Howard. The team, that was supposed to be chosen by June 18th, will now be selected on July 7th after four candidates were eliminated due to injury.

USA Basketball chairman, Jerry Colangelo, considers 10 spots on this year’s U.S. Men’s basketball team “set on paper.” The first practice will be held on July 6th in Las Vegas. The U.S. coaching staff will have to choose the remaining two players over just two days of practice before announcing the final team on July 7th.

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams, Kevin Durant, Tyson Chandler, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love and Dwyane Wade are reportedly the locks- so who will steal the final two spots?
