amare Amare Says Friday Return Sounds Pretty Good

Amar’e Stoudemire broke his silence today since reports surfaced that he had a bulging disc in his lower back on March 26th.  When asked about Coach Woodson eyeing for him to return on Friday against Cleveland, STAT replied, “sounds pretty good.” He added that he “definitely [has] to get some games under [his] belt before the playoffs start” on April 28th.  His return will bump either Shumpert of Fields out of the starting unit, Coach Woodson has yet to decide who that will be.  If Amar’e does not play Friday, he will almost definitely play Sunday.  That will leave him and Melo with either 4 or 3 games before playoffs to find rhythm again.
